The Ancaster Mill | Niagara Escarpment Wedding Venue

Nestled at the foot of the Niagara Escarpment in Ancaster, Ontario, Ancaster Mill is a historic stone mill transformed into a restaurant and event venue, combining natural beauty, heritage architecture, and refined hospitality. Built from limestone with thick stone walls, exposed timber beams, and original mill artifacts, the venue seamlessly blends rugged charm with elegant touches.

Q: How many guests can the Ancaster Mill accommodate?

Q: Are there spaces for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies at the Ancaster Mill?
A: You’ll find both indoor and outdoor options, including the Miller’s Chapel (indoors, with a stone fireplace, vaulted ceilings, and arched timber trusses) and the Streamside Chapel outdoors, along the escarpment and beside a stream.

Q: Does Ancaster Mill have a preferred vendor list?
Yes, Ancaster Mill has a preferred vendor list; however, you are able to use vendors outside of the list for everything except food and beverage. One note is that outside DJs and A/V teams are subject to an additional fee.

Q: How many people can I seat at the harvest tables for an Ancaster Mill wedding reception?
A: We suggest a maximum of 8 seats at the wood harvest tables as they are only 37” wide. By the time centrepieces and candles are added to the tables, it is very tight to fit 2 seats at the ends.

Q: Do we need a wedding planner for our Ancaster Mill wedding?
A: The Ancaster Mill includes an event coordinator who assists with planning details along the way. They also include a Maître D and a Concierge to support your wedding day, ensuring the wedding day runs smoothly. While their team is vital to the event’s success, we encourage couples to hire an outside wedding planner to help with the pre-wedding planning of all non-venue-related details.
