A: Yes! Many couples choose to host their ceremony in the Terrace Room, followed by cocktails in the main lobby while the space is transformed for dinner and dancing. The flow between levels makes it ideal for a full wedding experience in one location. With our team managing the timeline and setup transitions, the shift from ceremony to reception feels effortless for you and your guests. The second-floor gallery can host up to 100 guests for a standing reception.

Q: How many guests can the Gardiner Museum accommodate for a wedding?
A: The Gardiner Museum is best suited for intimate to mid-sized weddings. The Terrace Room comfortably seats up to 140 guests for seated dining or 250 for a standing cocktail reception, while the lobby and outdoor terrace add flexibility for cocktails or smaller gatherings. The Exhibition Hall, located beside the Terrace Room on the third floor, is the Museum’s largest space, accommodating up to 250 guests for a seated dinner. It is used primarily for Museum exhibitions, and is available on select dates from June to September.

A: Access to the Terrace Room begins firmly at 4:00 pm, except for Saturdays, when access can begin as early as 12:00 pm.
