With 80 of their closest friends, family, and colleagues joining them, they wanted their ceremony to embrace the warmth of their backyard while still delivering a grand, timeless aesthetic. From the ceremony platform over their pool to a Michelin-star reception at Hexagon Restaurant in Oakville, Ontario, every detail was carefully curated to create a celebration both personal and extraordinary.
A Backyard Ceremony Designed to Impress
To elevate their backyard ceremony, we partnered with Special Event Rentals to design a custom platform that floated over the pool, creating a stunning focal point for the celebration. Above it, Sue Gallo Designs created an ethereal floral chuppah, surrounded on two sides by the guests. Soft pinks, creams, and lush greenery set a romantic tone, giving the backyard a sense of luxury without feeling over the top.
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a short cocktail hour featuring passed hors d’oeuvres and cocktails by Parlato's Catering, giving them a chance to mingle and soak in the magical atmosphere before the next chapter of the day.
An Intimate Michelin-Star Experience
Jamie and Nathan wanted their reception to be more than just dinner—it had to be a culinary experience. Enter Hexagon Restaurant, Oakville’s Michelin-star gem, where 40 of their closest friends and family enjoyed a sophisticated and unforgettable meal. Restaurant weddings offer couples a unique chance to combine fine dining with personal connection, where the focus is on conversation, shared experiences, and enjoying artfully prepared dishes together.
Because the restaurant already had a beautiful interior and narrow tables, we kept the tabletops minimal, focusing on the perimeter decor to enhance the space. Florals in soft pinks, creams, and modern touches like roses, anthurium, and hydrangea added warmth and romance, contrasting beautifully with the restaurant’s blues and darker tones.
