Casa Loma Glass Pavilion Wedding

The glass pavilion at Casa Loma is a gorgeous option for those who want a tent wedding look but either don’t have the property available or even want to organize something at home.

Jackie and Don opted for a photography permit at Spadina Museum just next door to Casa Loma, removing the need for wasted travel time at multiple locations.

For the design, Casa Loma’s Glass Pavilion’s white floors, glass walls and ceiling with the white drapery and beautiful chandeliers make it a gorgeous base. Jackie wanted a minimalist design but one that still had some depth. So we kept with the standard square tables available from the venue and covered them in soft ivory velvet linens and a caramel-coloured napkin. We opted for three different candle colours to add more interest without adding clutter. The floral arrangements were a mix of low and tall to help keep the eye moving around the room.

Lastly, for the floor plan, we went non-traditional and had Jackie and Don sitting at one of the long tables in the room. Since the stage in the space is a permanent fixture, and Jackie and Don didn’t want to be on display, we kept the ceremony musicians to play during dinner and placed them on the stage with the ceremony florals repurposed as a backdrop for them. Romantic Castle Wedding at Casa Loma

They met in elementary school and had a romantic castle wedding at Casa Loma. Could it be any more perfect? As I was selecting images for this post, I found myself smiling. Fitting, as I remember smiling through the entire day for Erin and Andrew's wedding at Casa Loma. As planners, you never now what character you are going to get in a wedding party this size, but we couldn't have asked for a better group of people. They were all genuinely thrilled to be celebrating with their best friends, respectful of each other and making Erin and Andrew's day truly special and perfect for them. It was clear they were a tight knit group, friends for ages, and had a great time together. This feeling carried straight through to the vendors they asked to support them on their wedding day. Some of the most seriously dreamy and genuinely lovely vendors I have had the pleasure of working with, came together to bring it to life. Barb Simkova of Tara McMullen Photography captured the day beautifully, keeping everyone relaxed and having a great time. Captivate Photo + Cinema was there to film the day. Blush and Bloom created glorious, luscious white and green floral dreaminess to create a truly classic-inspired affair. Have a peek through the gallery below to see this romantic castle wedding at Casa Loma. It's the stuff dreams are made of.

Timeless Casa Loma Wedding

If you've ever been to a Casa Loma wedding, you'll know it's one of the best wedding venues in Toronto. From the guest experience to the customer service during the planning process, it's a beautiful place to be. Kathryn and Dan chose Casa Loma for their July wedding and brought the Laura Olsen Events team for wedding styling and planning. Captured by Mango Studios, this was easily one of my favourite weddings from the 2015 season. When it came to the design, Kathryn wanted something feminine, timeless and full of gorgeous simplicity. Music to our wedding designing ears. We chose a gorgeous palette of ivories, champagnes, whites, and greys and partnered them a mixture of textures of mattes and metallics and plain and clear cut glass. We collaborated with Blush and Bloom, one of our favourite Toronto wedding florists, to bring romance to the design through lush greens and gorgeous white blooms. A dreamy, wood stained chuppah draped in greens and simple white blooms created the focal point in the Conservatory, where the ceremony took place. We allowed the library, the reception space, to take full focus of the design, simply adding more pretty blooms, lots of candle light, and an accent head table linen to set it apart from the rest of the guest tables. Sigh. Can we go back and relive this day?
